HARVESTER RELAY Weekend JUNE 20^th / 21^st 2009

I would like to enter teams for the Harvester Relays again this year.

This time there is also a very nice middle distance race nearby on one of the best middle distance areas in the country to make it an even better weekend.

Last year we entered teams in the B class which means we can run any combination of runners to suit us. Five runners make a team. Normally the first 2 runs are in darkness, the 3^rd run is a dawn run depending on how slow or fast the first two are and the final runs are day runs. I would hope to enter at least 2 teams.

Spectacular campsite / assembly at 1,800 ft with views over the Beacons and Black Mountains. Start your race with the sunset over Pen Y Fan or sunrise over Pen Allt Mawr.

And to warm your brain up without wearing out your legs too much, start your weekend off with a Middle race on Clydach Terrace as used for Croeso 2008 final day.

Complex former spoil heaps. Ideal for a middle race. Fast, open terrain, but is your navigation good enough? Courses for all standards. Come along even if you aren’t going to do the Harvester.

Chris, I would like to be part of a Harvester relay team and i'm feeling brave enough at the moment to say I will do a 'dawn' leg. Do we just enter individually for the Saturday event?

At present I have five ladies confirmed - so that will be an entry in the B category vets

Men - I have three confirmed and 2 'thinking' and will probably then enter another B category team

If anyone else wants to run - please let me know. This includes non-Wimborne runners as we can easily make up an ad-hoc third team in the B category

I am not doing any entries for the middle distance on the Saturday afternoon prior to the Harvester - I will leave this to everyone to sort out individually as you need to decide what course you want to run
